In a remarkable discovery, the Santa Marta Sabrewing, a hummingbird thought lost to science for decades, has been captured in stunning videos in Colombia. This emerald green and navy blue bird, one of the planet’s rarest, was unseen for 64 years until a photograph surfaced in 2010. After another 12-year absence, it was rediscovered by Yurgen Vega. The American Bird Conservancy released videos showcasing the bird, highlighting its importance as a critically endangered species and offering hope for its protection (Yahoo News – Latest News & Headlines).
